"These forms are not the means of obtaining the right state of mind. To take this posture is itself to have the right state of mind. There is no need to obtain some special state of mind."
- Shunryu Suzuki

Saturday Zen Service, Jan 24: 10:00am - 11:45am.

Reading for this week: "Posture" from Shunryu Suzuki, Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind
'When you try to attain something, your mind starts to wander about somewhere else. When you do not try to attain anything, you have your own body and mind right here. A Zen master would say, "Kill the Buddha!" Kill the Buddha if the Buddha exists somewhere else. Kill the Buddha, beccause you should resume your own Buddha nature.'
